Donald Joseph Qualls, better popularly known as DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. He gained fame due to his roles on Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Apart from his appearances in Road Trip, he's appeared in over 22 TV programs like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order and many more. Qualls was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma around age 14, and has battled it ever since. After two years of treatment the cancer has gone into the process of remission. The treatment, however, in such a short time left severe impact on his body, and hindered the development of his body. Once he was acting, financial security was the goal. He was a victim of poverty in his childhood. I've been living so cheaply and for so long, I'm able the financial stability or my life feels uncontrollable for me he stated in an interview. He also looks back at his childhood and hopes to do something about the issue of bullying. He says "Cruelty causes pain to my soul." DJ's ideal role is to be a father in reel and in real life. However, he admits that "Directors do not cast me in the roles I'm in." He would like to become the father of his child one day in order to spend more time with his child and not be so occupied with his work.
